Rally Report: Report submitted by Jo-Ann Bradley (Worcestershire Centre)

Good start to the season we got the rally report, but I would like to thank Jo for the slip prize of a cutlery drainer, just what we needed in the van, Nigel has remarked on more than one occasion that we ought to get one.
Good Friday saw a warm welcome from the rally officers, Jo and Emily ably assisted by Val and Trevor. A welcome cup of tea and a hot cross bun started off the rally well. Nigel celebrated his birthday on the Rally field with a lovely suprise meal prepared by Joy and Denise followed by birthday cake. Jo V’s birthday card was perfect for the “Rocket Man” thank you.
Sparchford Farm is in a lovely spot, glorious views across the fields and our Rally Officers planned a great programme of activities.
Friday was peaceful with the ralliers arriving and one or two popping out to Ludlow to visit the castle or a bit of retail therapy.
On Saturday the Juniors went over to the farm to visit the baby lambs and I think they even got to feed one or two. A lovely social was held in the Village Hall on Saturday evening, jacket potatoes topped with a lovely bolognaise (made by Joy and Denise) or cheese and beans followed by gateau, cheesecake or a hot cross bun. For a small donation the Juniors even washed up for us. Thank you to all who helped put on a lovely supper.
The highlight of the evening was the draw for the lovely Easter Hamper which was won by Barbara Harris.
Trevor made a fantastic Bingo caller and a great evening was had by all.
Sunday morning saw the Juniors having their Easter Egg hunt around the Rally field. I would like to thank the person who put one round the back of our van. Thank you for the alarm call, I think we would have still been asleep at 10am when the egg hunt started if we hadn’t heard the rustling round the back!!
During the day Ralliers went off site doing various things; a walk to the pub (I think), cycle ride to Ludlow Food Centre and one group going out for afternoon tea at Ludlow Castle to celebrate 3 birthdays (Joy, Nigel and Denise).
Flag was held at six, the Juniors had their Easter Bonnett parade, which was won by Holly Moore ... well done. The Juniors gave all the Ralliers a pot containing a sunflower seed to take home, what a lovely surprise.
Some of us had to depart for home on Monday but one or two stayed on for the extra night.

I would like to thank the Rally Officers for a great weekend on a lovely site.
