How do we join a club centre?

Providing you're a member of The Caravan & Motorhome Club, you can join our centre at any time and there are several options available.
1. You can complete the centre registration form that you'll find in the main club joining pack, then return it direct to the club for processing.
2. Call Membership Services on 01342 318813 and request they assign you to the centre.
3. You can join online. Follow the What is a centre link, then register or sign in to your existing Caravan & Motorhome Club account and complete the process online.
Centre membership must be manually re-registered each year, as it doesn't automatically renew with your club membership. Remember too that while you can only register with one centre at a time, you can attend rally events with any club centre you would like.

Is there an additional fee for joining a centre?

There is no additional fee for registering with a club centre.

What is a rally, what's involved?

Put simply, a rally is a short term caravanning event where a group of like minded folk meet up, usually for a weekend. Some rallies offer activities, and these can be dependent on the location, eg., fishing, local places of interest to visit, countryside walk, or simply an evening social gathering. Of course, you can just attend the rally for a short break and not get involved with any activities at all; you can do your own thing or join in for as much as you like.
Periodically, we host holiday rallies; half term breaks, summer holiday week etc. There are also special event's, for example our annual Christmas Dinner and Dance. These are all detailed in our rally schedule and are available to all Caravan & Motorhome Club members, whether a member of the Worcestershire Centre or not.

There's a mix of locations available, from basic farm land to the grounds of stately homes. Have a look through our current schedule of events to find a rally that suits you.

How do I book onto a rally or club event?

The easiest means of booking onto any of our rallies, is to contact one of the appointed Rally Officers for the event you wish to attend. Contact details are included on each specific rally page, either online or in our rally handbook.
Remember, rallying isn't unique to caravanners; if you're a motorhome owner then you are more than welcome to join us, but please let us know when you book in case the Officers need to reserve a level area for you, or advise of any access restrictions onto a site.

How do I cancel a booking?

Please remember, its equally as important to call the Officers, if you should have to cancel a booking too. Some rallies are restricted in numbers and a cancelled pitch could be offered to another member.

How do I find the rally venue and what should I do on arrival?

Each rally page includes directions to find the venue. As you approach the site however, you should observe our orange WCCC direction signage. Please note that some rallies may be held on farmland, and while the rally details may include a postcode, this shouldn't be relied upon for SatNav use, as the postcode might either relate to the farm address (away from the venue), or in some cases SatNav directions can lead the caravanner down unsuitable roads or tracks.

On arrival at site, you will be welcomed by one of the Rally Officer team who will advise on pitching/parking and other site specific detail. You'll be supplied with payment slip and where applicable, detail of any activities that might be scheduled during the rally. Don't panic though if there's something planned that doesn't interest you, as there's no obligation to be involved whatsoever.

What time would a rally generally start and finish?

Note, that unless stated otherwise, rallies generally open from 16:00 onwards on the first day. Departure time on the last day is fairly flexible, but you will be advised of the latest time for leaving by the event marshals.

Do I need to have any additional or special equipment?

As a minimum, you should obviously carry the same accessories as for any caravanning use; Aquaroll, waste container, toilet chemicals etc. Note that with a few exceptions, most rallies are held where there's no electric hook-up available (EHU), and as such you'll ideally need a supply of gas for any cooking, heating etc., (propane in the red bottles is best for winter use) and a charged leisure battery for powering your 12v requirements such as water pump, lighting, blown air heating etc. For those of you apprehensive operating "off the grid" (without EHU), it is generally found that most weekend caravan use will operate quite satisfactorily with a decent, fully charged 12v leisure battery. There are options available however as members can either carry a spare 12v battery or it's common to use portable solar panels to maintain existing batteries while out on the rally field.
Be aware too of the lack of any washroom facilities. While this doesn't usually pose a problem, it's only fair to let you know of the likelihood on relying on your own caravan facilities during your stay.

• Please note that WCCC does not permit the use of generators, unless there is a requirement on health grounds.

What else might I need to know?

There's not much more to rallying than there is to normal caravan use to be fair. As mentioned above, you may need to consider your options for running without EHU, but on the whole all caravanners should easily be able to adapt for the rally field.
If you have any concerns and are keen to know more, then you are more than welcome to drop by and visit us on one of our rallies to see for yourself what's involved and discuss any queries you might have. We're all an approachable bunch and have a wealth of varying experience amongst us, so you can be rest assured of receiving the most suitable help and advice. Should you plan to drop by, its advised to call our Officers in advance so you can be expected.
